Osprey Technical was established in 2011 and is owned and managed by Rachel Oliver (MEng CANTAB) - combining her passion for sailing and navigation with a Master’s Degree in Engineering.

Rachel's vision for Osprey is to deliver technical innovation and quality products with a strong focus on professional customer service. She has 15 years of experience in the industry supporting many top teams in the IMOCA 60 and Volvo Ocean fleet before establishing Osprey.

Rob Langford-Wood (MEng Hons) joined Osprey after 8 years working for B&G (Navico) in a variety of technical roles, most recently as product manager for the H5000 instrument and autopilot system. Rob's methodical approach enables him to break down seemingly complex systems and help clients get the most out of the available technology in a way that’s easy to understand. James Sweetman (MEng Hons) not only holds a Masters in electronic engineering but is a qualified yacht master instructor with thousands of miles of offshore sailing under his belt. Shaun Pammenter (MSc) has a Masters in applied meteorology and has experience in high-profile race campaigns. Miles Blaver-Mann combines his technical qualifications and career as a superyacht engineer with his passion for sailing into a keen understanding of end user requirements. Gareth Owen (MSc Hons) with a background in chemical research prior to a career in marine electronics, Gareth combines his scientific and analytical approach with extensive sailing experience.


Kelly Semke is a qualified accountant with vast management experience and assists with operational business activities. David Gosney has extensive financial experience and manages our internal accounts. Debbie Brown is our office administrator and is in charge of all things administrative at Osprey Technical. Suzy Peters (BEng Hons) is our technical operations coordinator, overseeing the smooth delivery of our projects. Suzy has a degree in mechanical engineering and is an experienced yacht racer.
